Mostly happy, minor shipping note

I bought a sample pack and a Logo T-Shirt. The coffee samples were great, especially the Rio Grande dark roast. The shirt is decent quality, not super thick but comfortable. My order shipped out fast enough, but it took 6 days to reach me in California, which felt a little long for a standard shipment. Everything was packaged well though, nothing was damaged. Overall, I'm satisfied with the products and the price. If shipping was a day or two quicker it would be perfect.

First order was a good deal

I was looking for some new coffee and saw Big River Coffee had a first-order discount, so I decided to try the Colorado River ground coffee. It made the price pretty competitive, especially since I got free shipping too. The coffee itself was a medium roast, exactly what I expected. The bag was sealed well and felt fresh. It was a good value for what I paid. I might try their subscription next time if the price is right.

Good coffee, fast delivery

Ordered the St. Johns River whole bean. It arrived in 3 days. Coffee was fresh. Brews well. Happy with the purchase. Will order again.

Dependable choice for coffee

This was my fourth time ordering from Big River Coffee, and I keep coming back for the consistent quality of their dark roasts. I usually get the Espresso Roast whole bean. It's always fresh and has a robust flavor that I like, never burnt or weak. This time, I also tried one of their insulated tumblers, and it keeps my coffee hot for hours, which is nice. Shipping usually takes about 4 days to my address, pretty standard. I appreciate that they've maintained their quality over my past orders. No complaints on the product, it's just a reliable roaster.

Solid coffee, good cause

I've been getting the Three Rivers blend on subscription for about six months now. It's consistently good. The automated re-orders work smoothly, and they always ship it out promptly, usually arriving within 4-5 business days to my place in Ohio. I had a question about changing my grind preference once, and customer support got back to me the same day, which was helpful. The coffee itself is always fresh, and I appreciate that they focus on recyclable K-Cups too, though I mostly get whole bean. Knowing part of my purchase helps river conservation is a bonus.

Can you actually return coffee if you don't like it? Or is it like, all sales final since it's a food item?

D Dana Nguyen 1 month ago
I had to return some gear once, and it was super easy. For coffee, I haven't personally, but I think they have a satisfaction guarantee or something. Worth checking their site, I remember seeing it.

I haven't returned coffee, but I did change my subscription flavor without any hassle. They seem pretty customer-friendly, so I'd imagine they'd work with you if you really hated a batch.

Hey, thinking about trying Big River Coffee. I usually get my beans from Grounds & Hounds. How do these compare, taste-wise?

G Greg 2 months ago
I've tried both! Big River's definitely has a different vibe. More focus on specific river regions, if that makes sense. I find their light roasts pretty solid, less of that super dark, smoky thing some places do.

Yeah, I switched from Black Rifle to Big River. The mission is cool, but the coffee itself is also really good. I'd say it's smoother, less bitter in my experience. Their espresso roast is my jam.

How long does shipping usually take to, like, California? Don't wanna wait forever for my coffee fix.

R Rachel Foster 2 months ago
I'm in SoCal, and it usually takes about 4-5 business days for me. Not Amazon fast, but pretty standard for specialty coffee.

Mine arrived in like a week to NorCal. If you get a subscription, it just shows up like clockwork, which is nice.

Does Big River Coffee actually have a first-time customer discount? Saw something about it but can't find a code easily.

B Beth 1 month ago
Pretty sure they do! I got 15% off my first order when I signed up for their newsletter. Check their homepage banner or pop-ups, it usually shows up there.

Yeah, I think I got 10% or 15% for signing up. But if you're thinking of subscribing, the subscription discount is usually better and ongoing. You can't combine them though, fyi.

Hey, do their K-Cups really work in any Keurig machine? And are they actually recyclable? Some brands say they are but it's a pain.

O Omar Nguyen 2 months ago
Yup, totally works in my old Keurig, no issues. And the K-Cups are designed to be recyclable, you just gotta peel off the foil and dump the grounds first. It's a little extra step but not too bad.

They're not like those tricky ones you need a special tool for. Just regular recyclable plastic if you break 'em down a bit. I use 'em in my Keurig Mini with no problems.
